Capricorn Rising - Characteristics Traits and Information - DianaGarland.com

If the sign Capricorn was rising over the Eastern horizon when you were born, then that means you have a Capricorn ascendant.

Capricorn is a Cardinal Earth sign, and on the ascendant, which is the outer persona, the Capricorn rising person can come across in quite a reserved, almost shy. There is a limiting factor with Capricorn, but Capricorn ruling the bones and the skeleton means that often there’s quite a bony appearance to a Capricorn rising person.

Capricorn rising people are quite Earthy in their approach. The Sun and the Moon might be in Fire or Air signs, or Water signs, but it comes through the lens of that quite Earthy approach. It’s practical, quite ambitious as well, has the feeling of wanting to get somewhere in life in a methodical step-by-step way, the energies of the Sun and the Moon and the planets come into the lens, as it were, of that Capricorn-ness, through the front door, through the lens.

The Capricorn rising person has a protective feel to them, almost a parental feel. They’re not going to be waving their arms around, they’re not going to be making lots of noise; they’re going to be quite collected, they’re going to be quite together, with the ascendant energy.

The down-side with Capricorn rising can be that they’re too much hiding their light under a bushel, or they’re just in the corner of the room, maybe. That depends really on the Sun and the Moon quality, but the Capricorn rising person can be maybe a little bit too fearful about coming forwards.

In relationship, on the archetypal horoscope they are connected with Cancer, their opposite sign on the Ascendant/Descendant axis, and so they need that Wateriness in relationship to relax them, to get them more in touch with their emotions, to be more connected with their inner-self. Capricorn rising can be quite hard in a way, because they’re very much in the material world, and not connecting very much to their inner softness, their inner emotions.

In relationship they are wonderfully loyal. They take the long-view in relationship, they need security and they want to feel as though they are in a relationship for the long haul. They like to try out someone to make sure that that other person is going to be safe, and then they will want to take care of that other person and protect them, and be a good provider for that other person.

Capricorn rising is ruled by Saturn, which I’ve already mentioned rules the skeletal structure, but also the hair, the teeth, the nails, and Capricorn rising people can have issues to do with the teeth or the hair or the nails, or the joints.

The persona of Capricorn rising is that they’ve got a lot of strength, and Capricorn rising people like to feel as though they are climbing the ladder, getting somewhere. They understand the value of timing, and of rhythm, and of keeping their powder dry and waiting for the right moment to move forward, and they have tremendous perseverance.
